Where There's a Will...

Monday, April 21, 2003:

This is great news! Though this is a liberal town, the liberals seem to be getting it right! Aren't Conservatives supposed to be opposed to larger government? And Liberals for it? Why are the two groups reversed? Traditionally, Liberals like Bill Clinton, former President, represent large, bloated gov't with over-reaching powers that cannot be stopped. Conservatives, aka Republicans, represent small gov't with most power in the hands of the states and local jurisdictions. Since Sept. 11, 2001, however, the roles of the two parties have seemingly merged and left the American people very confused about who the good duys are. The Patriot Act and related legislation demonstrates my point. Is there any major difference between the two main parties? I don't think so anymore.
