WorldNetDaily: School board bans 'gun' from spelling tests - This is crazy! It's a damn word! "The word gun is synonymous with death. I'm racking my brain trying to figure out why a 7-year-old would need to learn this word." How is gun synonymous with death? I don't see a connection between the two. A gun is a tool. If used inappropriatly, than it can become a weapon, but so can a hammer, a wrench, a rock, or any other item on the face of this planet. Let's ban the words car, screwdriver, chisel, hammer, etc. from our language. All these words are items which, used incorrectly, can harm or kill an in-duh-vidual. What do ya say, let's shoot someone with a nail-gun. Put nail-guns on a 10-day waiting list while the backgrounds of the purchasers are examined. Isn't this crazy?
