Where There's a Will...

Monday, January 21, 2002:

What is happening in this world? Have we gone mad?! The election is but a few months away and we are without a healthy candidate for gubernatorial office here in California. Dick Riordan is a liberal wack-job who is in the race for purely personal gain. Bill Simon is a multi-millionaire thinking that just because he has dollars in his pocket, he can operate a state. Bill Jones, the current Secretary of State, is the only candidate who has the experience to operate a state, but lacks the organization of the other two. There are also lesser candidates for the governorship, but they won't win unless people vote for them. Wake up, California! Gray Davis must go! He has been ineffective and, in all honesty, has very severly harmed our state.
I have ideas, they are not new, and they are available to any candidate (even Riordan) who wishes to use them.
1. Close the border with Mexico immediatly. The influx of illegals and legals alike is killing our economy and is a major cause of the current recession here in California.
2. Phase out over a period of nine months all welfare programs in the state. Let's demonstrate to the nation and the world how an economy our size can rise like the Phoenix.
3. Repeal 90% of the laws currently on the books. A clear majority of the laws currently on the books are used to kill freedom, not help it.
4. Throw out all lawsuits currently in court, and start from scratch. Frivolous lawsuits have choked our courts nearly to death. Make personal responsibility a standard for all to look upon.
5. Make agriculture front and center. Without agriculture, we don't eat.
More ideas to come...
